Inspection & Testing 2391 City and Guilds

This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally carry out inspection and testing on electrical installations. This qualification offers three pathways depending on the type of inspection and testing required or previous qualifications gained by learners.

Description

This qualification is aimed at practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require update of training before progressing onto other City & Guilds qualifications. This qualification is aimed at practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require update of training before progressing onto other City & Guilds qualifications. This course is also suitable for those with limited experience of initial inspection of electrical installations, such as those entering the industry from other engineering disciplines or who have been working in allied trades.

The learner will be able to understand the requirements for:

  • The health and safety requirements associated with inspection and testing 
  • Completing the safe isolation of electrical circuits and installations 
  • To successfully carry out initial verification of electrical installations 
  • To successfully carry out the periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations 
  • Populating the required certification for initial verification and periodic inspection and testing.
